Ambient (non-perishable) delivery
- Cost: £4.99 flat rate. Free on orders over £55 (UK Mainland) or £75 (Highlands, Islands & NI).
- Dispatch: Orders placed before 2pm are dispatched the next working day (Monday–Friday).
- Estimated delivery: 2–4 working days from dispatch. Delivery times may vary depending on your location and courier conditions; we cannot guarantee a specific delivery date.
- Carrier: We use a range of trusted UK couriers selected for reliability and value. Tracking details are emailed once your order is dispatched.
Cold-chain (chilled & frozen) delivery
- Where: Currently local Southend-on-Sea (SS postcodes) only. National cold-chain coming soon (DPD trade account in progress).
- How: Items are hand-delivered by our founder (Dr Hany Salem) or a family member in a specialised insulated box with frozen gel ice packs to keep everything cool in transit.
- ⚠️ On arrival: Please move chilled items to your fridge and frozen items to your freezer immediately upon delivery.
- Cost: £3 local delivery — free UK over £60 (same threshold as ambient items).
- When: Local delivery is by arrangement — we’ll WhatsApp or call to confirm a slot, usually within 1–2 days.
Founder Local Delivery (Southend SS0–SS9)
- Cost: £3.99 flat rate. Free on orders over £45.
- Coverage: All Southend, Westcliff, Leigh-on-Sea, Hadleigh, Benfleet, Canvey, Rayleigh and Rochford postcodes (SS0–SS9).
- How: Our founder, Dr Hany Salem, personally delivers a few days each week. You can choose a delivery slot at checkout.
- Cold-chain: Founder Local also covers ambient items only at this stage. Cold-chain orders ship via our our standard delivery (see above).
Combined orders
If your cart contains both ambient and cold-chain items and the total exceeds £55, the ambient shipping is free but the £4.99 cold-chain charge still applies. This is because cold-chain items require specialist insulated packaging and an express courier service.
Where we deliver
- UK Mainland: Full service — ambient and cold-chain.
- Highlands, Islands and Northern Ireland (AB, IV, KW, PA20–78, PH, HS, ZE, BT, GY, JE, IM): Ambient only at launch. Delivery may take an extra working day. We never charge extra for these postcodes.
- Outside UK: We do not currently ship internationally. We hope to add international delivery in the future.
Damaged or missing items
Please inspect your delivery on arrival. If anything is damaged, missing, or (for cold-chain) has arrived warm or defrosted, contact us within 48 hours at info@zambahola.co.uk with a photo. We will refund or replace within 48 hours — no return required for perishable items.
Delivery partners
We work with established UK couriers and logistics partners. The specific carrier used depends on parcel weight, destination and service type. All our partners are tracked services so you will always know where your order is.
