1. About us
These terms govern your use of zambahola.co.uk and any purchases from us. We are Zambahola Ltd, registered in England and Wales (Companies House 16613797), VAT registered (499 248 331), with our registered office at 29 Repton Grove, Southend-on-Sea, SS2 6SJ. Contact: info@zambahola.co.uk.
2. The contract
When you place an order you are making an offer to buy. Our acceptance of your offer, and the creation of the contract, happens when we email you to confirm dispatch.
3. Prices and payment
All prices are in GBP and include VAT where applicable. Most food is zero-rated for VAT in the UK; snacks, roasted seeds, confectionery and sweets are standard-rated at 20%. Payment is taken at checkout via Stripe. We do not offer credit or buy-now-pay-later.
4. Delivery
Ambient orders: dispatched within 2 working days, delivered in 2–5 working days via Royal Mail or DPD. Standard delivery £4.99, free over £55 (UK Mainland) or £45 (Founder Local Delivery, Southend SS0–SS9).
Cold-chain orders (chilled or frozen): delivered via a local hand-delivery in an insulated box with frozen gel ice packs, or or by our Zambahola Ltd team for local Southend deliveries. £9.99. You must be present to receive and refrigerate the order on arrival. We cannot accept liability for cold-chain products left unrefrigerated after delivery.
Founder Local Delivery (Southend SS0–SS9): £3.99 standard, free over £45. Personally delivered by our founder; choose a slot at checkout.
5. Right to cancel (UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013)
For ambient (non-perishable) goods you have 14 days from receipt to cancel for any reason. Goods must be returned unopened and in original condition. You pay the return postage.
Perishable goods (cold chain: cheeses, meats, sausages, liver, frozen pastries) are exempt from the right to cancel under the regulations, as they are liable to deteriorate rapidly.
6. Faulty or incorrect goods
If your order arrives damaged, spoiled, or incorrect, email info@zambahola.co.uk within 48 hours of delivery with photo evidence. We will refund or replace at our discretion.
7. Limitation of liability
Our liability is limited to the value of the goods purchased. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for fraud.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
