Egyptian Lentil Soup (Shorbet Ads)

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup yellow lentils

  • 1 onion

  • 1 tomato

  • 1 carrot

  • 1 tsp cumin

  • 1 clove garlic

  • Salt & pepper

  • Water or stock

Method:

  1. Wash lentils and add to a pot with chopped vegetables.

  2. Cover with water or stock.

  3. Add salt, pepper, and cumin.

  4. Simmer until everything is soft.

  5. Blend until smooth.

  6. Serve with fried garlic & coriander “tasha” on top.
